What is playing now: Latest music review

This week, two much awaited albums have been released, one by Kylie Minogue and the other by the famous American band, Scissor Sisters. Let’s hear some reviews on both the tracks.

Kylie Minogue’ Aphrodite: When many of us have started thinking that Kylie Minogue is shifting her focus from singing to advertisements, the Aussie pop singer is back with a bang. Her Aphrodite, even though not impressive like her other numbers such as Spinning Around, Can't Get You Out of My Head, Get Outta My Way, All The Lovers, and Everything Is Beautiful, is quite impressive in terms of different tempos.

If we compare last 11 albums of the singer, we can see that Kylie has missed the amazing beats of her old songs. However, the number would have been quite monotonous, has not there been a variation of tempos. This song has a poppy dance trudge. This is where the song might excel, compared to other songs, released around the week.

The number is more highlighted by a number of song writers, from Jake Shears to Calvin Harris. This puts some variety as well as some spice in the song. Above all, it is Kylie Minogue, who makes the album nearly perfect with her Aphrodite-like appearance. She is glamorous and it lifts the album at once.

Scissor Sisters’s Fire With Fire: Scissor Sisters’s new album is out. The lead singer of the pop band, Scissor Sisters once again sounds like Robbie Williams!

Fire With Fire is a saucy number, full of fun, sentiments, and a few glitch. However, unlike the previous numbers like Take Your Mama from Scissor Sisters’s self titled album in 2004 or Ta-Dah in the year of 2006, this track may not satisfy the listeners with the Scissor Sisters-like charm. But like the previous albums, in this number also, the band maintains its stylish seedy, jazzy, and sassy favor.

The main USB of the album can be a guest appearance by Kylie Minogue as well as Herbie Hancock. Overall, the album maintains the true flavor of the famous American band with its jazziness and sassiness. The male Diva of the band, Jake Shears excels once again.

Either of these tracks may not satisfy you. But these are all for this week.

These are all for now. Hope to catch you with some great albums and more updates in the world of music. Keep listening to good music.
