Eclipse: Movie Review
Title: Eclipse: A must watch
Film: Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Director: David Slade
Writer: Stephenie Meyer (novel writer) and Melissa Rosenberg (screenplay)
Genre: Romance, Thriller, Fantasy
The movie is a celluloid adaptation of Stephenie Meyer novel. The movie deals with a dilemma of a girl, Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart. She has met with her long-lost vampire boyfriend, Edward, played by Robert Pettinson. Now she has to decide whether she will be a vampire to be with her vampire boyfriend or will be human to be with her werewolf best friend, Jacob, played by Taylor Lautner. But she has to make her choice before her graduation. This is like a decision of life and death. On the one hand, she wants to be with Edward and on the other hand she does not want to light the eternal struggle between werewolves and vampires.
As the leading lady of the movie says it, the movie is not surrounded solely by the supernatural element, called the eternal collision between werewolf and vampire. In Kristen’s words, the story tells about the complex human relationships, which is based on werewolf and vampire plot. The plot of the movie is like a confused monologue with so many subplots.
The total running time of the movie is 124 minutes. The love triangle plot is back with its essence. The presence and characterization by Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner deserve a special mention, while Taylor Lautner refreshes our eyes.
Director David Slade should be complimented for excelling the first two movies in twilight series. A special thanks to Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg for adopting such a nice novel.
If you have not seen the first two Twilight films yet, it is time for you that you go and catch both the movies before watching Twilight Saga: Eclipse. If Twilight and Twilight Saga: New Moon rocked you, this third movie is going to set you on fire.
The action, drama, and thrill in this movie is much stronger than the first two movies in the series. Taylor Lautner looks great, compared to Robert Pattinson, who looks a little sickly in this movie. What you may feel as one of the plus points of this film is their transformation. Thanks to some special effects. The violence, shown is little brutal, but fast moving. Moreover, this movie has come out with more energy compared to the first two. In addition to that, the cineviewers can trace some subtle sense of humor, which the previous two flicks lacked.
