• A good sleep is probably the most important requirements to be active and energetic the entire day. According to the doctors an adult should have around 7 to 8 hours of sleep everyday. If you feel sleepy in the morning or don’t feel like getting up, it means you haven’t got your required amount of sleep, whatever the reasons might be.

• Maintaining regular time and sleeping for 7 to 8 hours at a stretch can make you feel rejuvenated every morning. Go to bed at the same time every night and let the bright sun rays in the morning wake you up at the same time. If it becomes a habit, you won’t need an alarm clock anymore.

• Do not take much of caffeine like coffee, chocolates, soft drinks, soda, and tea. It keeps you awake for long hours and deprives you of your usual quota of sleep.

• Do not watch TV while going to bed. It may distract you and keep you awake for a long time. Also try to avoid bright lights and illumination in the room during your bedtime. It may hamper your sleep thus make you feel tired in the morning.

• Do not panic if you don’t feel sleepy for a couple of nights. Worrying only adds to the problem and enhances it. Just relax and let sleep come to you naturally. Do not take sleeping pills without consulting the doctor, it worsens the problem.

• All your exercise regimes should end at least three hours prior to your bedtime. Over exercising can make you feel too tired to sleep. Also avoid going to bed with an empty stomach.

Last but not the least; maintain a balanced healthy diet to get good sleep at night. If the problem persists, do not hesitate to visit a doctor to discuss the same.
